Here’s what I’m working on so far today….
I love it when I finish a seam that has some points that are supposed to match up and they actually do! This is what I’m talking about….
I’m astonished when it looks that good!
Here are all of my blocks from the Fat Quarter Shop 2012 Designer Mystery BOM:
They look so pretty together and now I’m motivated to finish blocks 7 through 9. We’ll see how long that lasts!
I used a new tool for the flying geese in my block called Fit to be Geese by Open Gate Quilts.
It’s a method that allows you to oversize the flying geese unit and then trim it down to perfection.
Anytime I can start out big and then trim it down, I’m there!
I finished my February block for the Sugar Block Club:
This was my second time ever paper piecing. I’m still undecided if I like it or not. Maybe it’s because the middle points didn’t match up so well after spending all afternoon working on it.
Oh well. I can live with it. There are some other paper pieced blocks that I’ve seen recently that I’m itching to try. Maybe practice makes perfect!
I’m linking up with WiP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
